CIO Corner: HMCY Launch Sets New Benchmark in Patient Care

As we wrap up the first quarter of 2025, we celebrate a significant milestone — the much anticipated launch of Houston Methodist Cypress. This state-of-the-art facility harnesses our most innovative technologies, creating an exceptionally efficient, patient-centric environment and setting a new benchmark in health care.
Houston Methodist Cypress has novel technologies, like in-room, voice-activated environmental and entertainment controls, digital whiteboards in patient rooms and digital signage outside each patient’s door. In addition, it has the latest virtual care technologies and capabilities. Before launching at HMCY, many of these innovations were launched at other campuses. This strategic approach allowed us to perfect these innovations, ensuring they meet the highest standards of care. By consolidating these technologies, we’ve created an environment that supports our clinicians in delivering exceptional care and enhances the overall patient experience.
