A Brighter Workday on the Horizon

On January 1, Houston Methodist will launch Workday to manage many of our HR, financial, supply chain and planning functions. It will replace MARS and is the industry leader in enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. When Workday launches, every employee will interact with it in some way, whether through payroll, benefits, recruitment, onboarding, compliance, learning, supply chain, accounting or grants.

“We strive to create a seamless experience for our patients as they journey through their visits and interactions with us,” said Robert Schwartz, executive vice president, chief innovation officer and Workday project executive sponsor. “Similarly, Workday has the potential to provide a comprehensive and personalized experience for our colleagues. It’s about helping everyone work more effectively and efficiently so we can focus on putting our patients at the center of everything we do.”
