Epic upgrade. Coming Feb. 11.
Less than a year since the entire organization went live on Epic, teams are preparing for an upgrade.
On Feb. 11, we upgrade to Epic version 2017 as part of our commitment to stay current on the latest Epic technology.
In addition to a cleaner, more vibrant look and feel, many new features will make things easier for clinicians and patients. Changes will enhance patient care, as well as improve productivity and usability for patients and staff.
Patients
- Redesigned After Visit Summary
- MyChart improvements to pay bills online as a guest, prepayment collection
- New financial assistance tools
Physicians and Staff:
- Nursing: Notifications added to the MAR for medications that require patient education
- Providers: More streamlined In Basket for easier follow up
- Schedulers: New scheduling tools to assist with multiple appointments
- For inpatient clinical staff: Transfer Center replaces Teletracking for seamless transfers between our hospitals
For this upgrade, no classroom training is required. Staff can access Upgrade Companion documents ― learning aides with all the information needed, available directly within Epic.
