As 2025 winds down, we’re not only closing the books on a year of transformation — we’re celebrating our accomplishments and gearing up for an even more connected, secure and innovative 2026.
Right now, our IT Service Transformation survey is open through Dec. 18, and your input is more important than ever. This quick, easy survey (just a few minutes of your time) helps us assess how we’re doing in delivering the IT support you need, when and where you need it. Your feedback from our previous surveys has already driven meaningful improvements, including more convenient support channels, faster response times and better communication. This current survey is your opportunity to help us keep that progress going. Every response helps us shape a more responsive, user-friendly IT experience across Houston Methodist.
In October, we focused on key information and activities around Cybersecurity Awareness Month and appreciated everyone’s strong participation. From phishing simulations to interactive learning sessions, we reinforced our shared responsibility in keeping our systems — and our patients — safe. Cybersecurity is a year-round priority, and your continued vigilance is key to defending our data and systems.
Earlier this year, we kicked off Microsoft Copilot — the AI-powered assistant that’s already helping teams work more efficiently. Whether it’s summarizing meetings, drafting communications or surfacing insights from data, Copilot is becoming a valuable tool in our daily workflows. As we continue to explore its capabilities, we’re excited about how it can reduce administrative burden and enhance productivity.
We’ve also continued to make significant strides in improving clinical communications and streamlining processes that support care delivery. From enhanced messaging tools to more intuitive workflows, our teams are collaborating more effectively than ever. These improvements are helping reduce delays, minimize errors and ensure that the right information reaches the right people at the right time.
In just a few weeks, one of our biggest transformations — Workday — goes live, unifying our financial, HR and supply chain operations into a single, modern platform. This new system will replace MARS and is a major milestone in our digital transformation — one that will simplify processes and empower teams with better tools and data. This transformation has been a true team effort. Over the past year, hundreds of colleagues from HR, Finance, Supply Chain, Research, IT and beyond have collaborated to shape a version of Workday tailored to meet our needs systemwide. To everyone who’s contributed to this journey — thank you. Your dedication, insight and resilience have made this transformation possible.
